Tackle Football Playoffs!

NYS NEVADA 11 MAN PLAYOFF PREVIEWS

#6 Seed Gators (3-4) VS #3 Seed Del Sol Wolverines (5-2) – BANTAM DIVISION

Where: Del Sol HS

When: 8:15 AM

The Gators travel to Del Sol High School to take on the Wolverines in a first round playoff

matchup to kick off the post season. Both teams have tremendous post season aspirations,

but have to start it off with a victory in the quarterfinals. The Gators come in at 3-4 on the

season, but are certainly playing better football of late, having won 3 of their last 5. These

two teams didn’t play during the regular season, so it’s all about discovery in this one. The

Gators offense averages just less than 15 points a game, and will need to be hitting on all

cylinders if they want to come out ahead in this matchup. The Gator offense is led by Travis

Ferguson who has powered them on both sides of the football. The Del Sol Wolverines

meanwhile will try and defend their home field as they try and keep their goals of a playoff

run alive. The Wolverines enter this game with the divisions 2nd ranked defense. The

Wolverines defense gives up just more than 7 more points a game. That’s a pretty stingy

defense that the Gators will have to go up against. The Wolverines will look to Colin Figley

as they hope to claw their way into the semi-finals with a victory.

#8 Seed Boulder City Eagles (1-6) VS #1 Seed Las Vegas Knights (7-0) – BANTAM DIVISION

Where: Ed Fountain Park Field #8

When: 10:15 AM

The Boulder City Eagles fly into town to face off with the red hot Las Vegas Knights. The

Eagles faced off with the Knights back in week #2 of the season and fell 36-0 to the

division’s top seed, but are looking to flip the script here and pull off the upset here in the

first round of the playoffs. The Eagles will have to stop a 6 game losing streak if they want

to pull off the upset. The Eagles will hope that Hunter Moore, Parker Owens, and Nicholas

Serrano can step up higher than ever before as the Eagles hope to soar into the semi-finals

with a victory. The Knights meanwhile are undefeated, un-scored upon, and the clear

leader here in the Bantam Division this season. The Knights feature a divisional best

offense that averages 37 points a game and a defense that has yet to give up a point! The

leader of the Knights round table of stars is MVP Candidate Kobe Hendericks who leads the

division in just about every offensive category. That being said, Hendricks has a great

group of Knights that he works with, including Brady Kennedy, Korbin Koch, and Elijah

Guild, who all make this team look nearly unbeatable. That being said, they play the games

for a reasons, so it’s all about what happens on Saturday!

#5 Seed Wrangler Saints (4-3) VS #4 Seed Las Vegas Cowboys (4-3) – BANTAM DIVISION

Where: Clark HS

When: 3:15 PM

When the 4 and 5 seed face off, it’s usually a fantastic and exciting matchup, and that

should certainly be the case here in the Bantam Division. These two teams faced off back in

the 4th week of the season in a close battle that the Cowboys won in a low scoring 14-0

victory. Joshuwa Stewart and a stellar defensive performance powered the Las Vegas

Cowboys in that matchup to a victory over the Wrangler Saints, but the playoffs are a whole

new animal. The Cowboys feature a potent offense that averages over 15 points per

contest while there defense are the real stars that give up just 10 points a contest. The

Cowboys will look to Stewart, Amari Derby, and Jordan Banks to help this team ride into the

2nd round of the playoffs. The Wrangler Saints meanwhile enter this game looking to start a

playoff march of their own. The Wrangler Saints offense struggled throughout the season,

as they averaged just over 7 points per game. That being said, the Wrangler Saints still

won 4 games, especially on the strength of their defense. The Wrangler Saints defense

gave up just over 12 points per game this season, and helped keep them in games. The

Wrangler Saints will look to Adrian Droze, Ryan Kyle, and Austin Dillon to help lead them

into the next round of the playoffs with a victory this Saturday afternoon.

#7 Seed Vegas Vipers (1-5) VS #2 Seed Western Ducks (6-1) – BANTAM DIVISION

Where: Western HS

When: 3:15 PM

The Vegas Vipers enter the playoffs looking to sting the Western Ducks and come out with

an upset victory and see if Cinderella’s slipper fits this playoff season. The Vipers earned a

big victory in their final regular season game as they turned to Trevoni Sharpe and

Ja’Shawn Powell to lead them again this weekend as they look to pull out the victory. The

Vipers have managed to stay in games every weekend thanks to a tremendous defense and

ball control offense and will look to take the air out of the Ducks wings in this matchup. The

Ducks meanwhile will look to defend their new home field in Western High School and

advance into the Semi-Finals with a victory. The Ducks defeated the Vipers back in the 2nd

weekend of the season as they shutout the Vipers with a 19-0 score. The Ducks in that

game and all season long have been led by Jacob Boice, Blair Thayer, and AJ Balderamma.

That Trio has led the Ducks offense on the ground and in the air. Those three along with

the rest of the Ducks team will look to take flight this weekend and advance in the playoffs.

The Ducks offense averaged almost 20 points a game and will look to play to their potential

in the playoffs as they hope to step up their game even more.

#7 Seed Wrangler Saints (5-2) VS #2 Seed Gators (6-1) – CADET DIVISION

Where: Cimarron HS

When: 10:00 AM

You know a division is stacked with talent when the 7th seed and the 2nd seed are separated

by just one win! That is exactly the case here as the Wrangler Saints enter this post season

as the #7 seed looking to take a run at a championship in a division where it looks like any

of the 8 teams in the playoffs can make a run at the title. These two teams faced off back

in the first week of the season, in a matchup that the Wrangler Saints won by a score of 15-

13. The Wrangler Saints in were led by Armando Mireles in that matchup, and will look to

him to lead them again in this matchup. Mireles along with Richard Washington and X’Avion

Smith will look to lead the Wrangler Saints to a playoff run. The Wrangler Saints have an

offense that averages over 25 points per game and a defense that gives up just 8 points a

game. That is a team that is to be reckoned with, and the Gators will certainly be on their

guard as they hope to come out with a victory over their own here in the first round of the

playoffs. The Gators meanwhile have a powerful offense and defense of their own. The

Gators powerful offense averages over 31 points per game, but it’s the Gators defense that

stands out even more. The Gators defense ranks #1 in the Cadet Division and gives up just

fewer than 4 points per game. The Gators are led by Edward Rhamno, Michael Jackson, and

Jaden Turner who will look to sink their teeth into the Wrangler Saints for a playoff victory.

#8 Seed Arbor View Aggies (4-3) VS #1 Seed Basic Wolf Pack (7-0) – CADET DIVISION

Where: Del Sol HS

When: 10:00 AM

The Arbor View Aggies travel to Del Sol High School to battle the Wolf Pack in a Cadet

Division playoff game. The Aggies come in as the #8 seed, but a dangerous 8 seed at that.

The Aggies are led by Patrick Freeman, Zachary Jeziorski, and Xavier Navarez as they hope

to stampede their way to a first round playoff upset. The Aggies feature a stellar defense

that has been more than rock solid all season long, allowing just more than 7 points a

contest here during the regular season. They will need that defense to be all it can be this

weekend as they look to take down the division’s top ranked offensive unit. That offense

belongs to the undefeated top seeded Basic Wolf Pack, as they come in averaging an

incredible 41 points per game this season. The Wolf Pack defense isn’t shouldn’t be

overshadowed either. They have given up just under 7 points a game this season as well,

leading to this team being a perfect 7-0 on the season. The Wolf Pack is led by MVP

candidate Corey Hebert who is having yet another stand out season. He leads the league

and his pack in most offensive categories this season. He isn’t the only dog in his pack

however, as he is flanked by some tremendous talent including Austyn Case, Daevion

Hermann, and Trevaughn McAllister. This should be an entertaining game this weekend so

make sure to check out who wins in this must see playoff matchup!

#5 Seed 702 49ers (5-2) VS #4 Seed Henderson Federals (5-2) – CADET DIVISION

Where: Desert Oasis HS

When: 11:45 AM

The 702 49ers and Henderson Federals faceoff in a rematch of a game from the final

weekend of the regular season here in the first round of the playoffs. The Federals earned a

dominating 35-7 victory in that game, but with both teams being familiar with each other,

anything is possible! The 49ers will be hungry to reverse that outcome and advance in the

playoffs with a victory on Saturday. The 49es during the season had a stellar offense that

averaged over 22 points a game and they will need to be the mark if they want to come out

with another victory in this matchup. The 49ers offensive charge has been led by Joseph

Ortiz, Ashton Bond, and Blake Sampson as they look to find gold and stop the march of the

Federals. The Federals meanwhile enter this game riding high off of the victory, but

certainly won’t take this 49ers team lightly on Saturday. The Federals have a balanced

offense that averaged over 30 points a game this season. The Federals offense got big time

contributions from Daniell Britt, Blair Blount, Logann Britt, and Tobin Wagge as they

marched through a strong regular season. The Federals will look to the leadership of Head

Coach Anthony Saxton and his playoff experience to help guide them to a win this weekend

that might lead to a playoff run!

#6 Seed Anthem Cougars (5-2) VS #3 Seed Mojave Green Machine (6-1) – CADET DIVISION

Where: Mojave HS

When: 3:15 PM

The Anthem Cougars travel to Mojave High School where they will hope to slash the Green

Machine’s tires en route a playoff victory on Saturday. The Cougars landed on their feet

and in the playoffs thanks to a 4 game winning streak that has them in prime position to

start a playoff run. The Cougars have been led by Bret Davis, Zachariah Branch, and

Hat’Dige Nichols of late and will look for that trio to help them pounce on a victory. The

Cougars have a powerful offense that saw them average over 30 points a contest this

season, as they will look to build on that here in the playoffs. The Green Machine

meanwhile may have fallen from the ranks of the unbeaten in their final game of the regular

season, but shouldn’t be counted out. They will look to refill their tanks in the off week as

they will be gassed up for a playoff run of their own. Led by MVP Candidate Zedekiah

Henderson, Yorel Lockwood, and Joshua Jackson, this Green Machine team will be ready for

the playoffs. The Green Machine offense was strong all season long, as they averaged over

28 points a contest while giving up just 8 points a game. Either way these are two strong

teams facing off in the first round of the playoffs. Expect a thriller out at Mojave High

School in this matchup!

#8 Seed Team Classic Bulldogs (4-3) VS #1 Seed Las Vegas Sun Devils (7-0) – PEE WEE DIVISION

Where: Western HS

When: 10:00 AM

The Team Classic Bulldogs travel to Western High School to take on the Las Vegas Sun

Devils in what should be a great and exciting first round playoff matchup. While these two

teams didn’t face off during the regular season, they should at least be familiar with each

other as they both practice on the same field. The Bulldogs enter this matchup on the

strength of a strong offensive unit that averages over 24 points a game. Gregory Burrell

leads the Bulldogs charge on the field and will look to help bark his Bulldogs into the 2nd

round of the playoffs. The Sun Devils meanwhile will be looking to turn the heat up on

Saturday as they look to take advantage of their high seed and build on their perfect regular

season. The Sun Devils got great contributions from a number of players including Tysean

McCraney, Adarius Anderson, and Jaylen Brooks and will hope for more of the same in this

matchup. The Sun Devils have a very strong offensive group that averaged just less than

30 points a game, but were really paced by their defense that was the best in the entire

division. The Sun Devils defense gave up just less than 4 points per game during the

season, which led them to their top seed during the regular season.

#6 Seed Las Vegas Bengals (5-2) VS #3 Seed Gators (6-1) – PEE WEE DIVISION

Where: Cimarron HS

When: 1:30 PM

The Las Vegas Bengals will look to claw their way past the Gators in their home swamp at

Cimarron High School in what should be an instant classic first round playoff showdown.

The Bengals enter this contest ready for the playoffs after a strong regular season that saw

them fall just two times in defeat. The Bengals are paced by an offense that averaged over

22 points a game and gave up just 12 points a contest. All in all that is a recipe for success

that the Bengals used all season long. The Bengals are led by Mychal Johnson and Jakoi

Lide and will look to pounce on a first round victory in this exciting matchup. The Gators

meanwhile had a tremendous season in their own right, including a victory that ended the

multi-year winning streak of the Las Vegas Cowboys! The Gators have an offense that

averaged over 27 points a game, but were led by their defense that sinks in giving up just

over 5 points a contest. The Gators are led by Bryant Johnson, who is among the leader in

most offensive categories in the Pee Wee Division. Javaun Lewis, Maleek Simeus, and

Azikw’e Hutchinson also make up a number of the top threats the Gators will feature in this

contest. Expect a great showdown this weekend between these two teams were points are

at a premium.

#5 Seed Las Vegas Wildcats (6-1) VS #4 Seed Las Vegas Cowboys (6-1) – PEE WEE DIVISION

Where: Clark HS

When: 1:30 PM

A pair of 6-1 teams faces off at Clark High School in a first round playoff matchup that

should get all football fans excited. The Wildcats had a tremendous first season here in

NYS, falling just one time. They lit up the score boards week in and week out averaging a

divisional best 32 points a game. Jaiden Cobb and Te’Jon Hewitt lead the way for the

Wildcats as they look to pounce on the Cowboys and do something no team in Nevada has

been able to do in the Pee Wee division in 4 seasons which is knock them out of the

playoffs! The Cowboys meanwhile are looking to get on a playoff run and extend their 4

season run here in the Pee Wee Division. The Cowboys come in averaging just over 28

points a game, but are also tied for a division best on defense, giving up just fewer than 4

points per contest this season. The Cowboys will be relying on that defense here in this

matchup of the best offense and the best defense here in the Pee Wee Divisions. They will

look to the leadership on both sides of the football from the likes of Massiah Mingo, X-Zavier

Christopher, and Katron Ducksworth who will look to lead them back to the championship

winners circle. Will the Cowboys be able to ride into the sunset with another Pee Wee

Division playoff victory, or will the Wildcats pounce on the opportunity and advance into the

semi-finals and give their team a championship opportunity in their first season with NYS?

#7 Seed Henderson Cowboys (4-3) VS #2 Seed Las Vegas Aces (7-0) – PEE WEE DIVISION

Where: Liberty HS

When: 1:30 PM

The Henderson Cowboys and Las Vegas Aces face off in a Pee Wee Division playoff matchup

that might be much closer than the seedlings might indicate. The Henderson Cowboys may

have lost 3 games, but they lost to teams with a combined 2 losses here this season. The

Cowboys will be looking to buck that trend of losing to the division’s top teams as they hope

to pull off the upset and fold the Ace. The Cowboys come into the playoffs averaging just

over 27 points a game thanks to the stellar play of D’Angelo Hagans, Dino Robers, Isaiah

Ramos, and Adn Garcia. They will look to come together yet again in this battle and ride

out of Liberty High School with a victory. The Aces meanwhile will be looking to deal an 8th

consecutive winning hand as they enter the playoffs with a perfect regular season record.

They did so thanks to an offense that averaged just over 28 points a contest, helping them

earn a flawless record and the #2 seed heading into the playoffs. The Aces are led by MVP

Candidate Jayden Thompson who has been a touchdown scoring machine of late.

Thompson will look to lead his Aces into the Semi-Finals with a victory this weekend over

the Cowboys.

Where: Desert Oasis HS

When: 8:15 AM

The Henderson Bearcats and Las Vegas Red Eagles face off in a Midget Division first round

showdown in a division where the playoff teams are separated by just two games from top

to bottom! The Bearcats come in an offensive force, averaging over 27 points per contest.

The Bearcats offense can slash at you in a number of ways, including quarterback Brandon

Tunnell, running back Donavyn Pellot, and do it all star Adrian “the leg” Carnero. Looking to

slow down the Bearcats and their dynamic trio, will be the Las Vegas Red Eagles who have

soared all season long helping them earn the #3 seed. The Red Eagles offense was led by a

number of players this season, including Maximus Romero, Thaddeus Thatcher, and

Christian Thatcher who all excelled throughout the season. The Red Eagles averaged over

25 points a game as a team while giving up just over 8 points a game. That is one

tremendous recipe for success that they will look to replicate here in the first round of the

playoffs!

#7 Seed 702 49ers (5-2) VS #2 Seed Las Vegas Cowboys (7-0) – MIDGET DIVISION

Where: Desert Oasis HS

When: 10:00 AM

The 702 49ers take on the Las Vegas Cowboys in a matchup of a game that took place in

the final weekend of the regular season. In that matchup, it was all Las Vegas Cowboys as

they won in dominating fashion of 51-12. The 49ers will be looking to reverse that result

and find gold in the form of a first round playoff victory. The 49ers will look to the

leadership of Branko Hansell-Fotu, Quinten Larry, and Kanai Keanini-Smith as they hope to

mine out a victory. The 49ers averaged over 21 points a game as a team this season, but

gave up just over 16 points a game. That defense will need to be on point this game as

they take on the Midget Divisions most explosive offense in the Las Vegas Cowboys. The

Cowboys averaged over 33 points a game. Not only was the Cowboys offense prolific, but

their defense was as well. They gave up just 4.5 points a contest during the regular

season. Not only is this team statistically dominate, but they have a lot of experience to

rely on as well. Cowboy’s leaders like Jeremiah Hughes, Michael Ferguson, and Quincy

Jenkins all have playoff and National Championship experience, so they should be ready for

the challenge this weekend. Either way, this should be a tremendously exciting showdown

between these two cross town rivals with the victors earning a spot in the semi-finals.

#8 Seed Team Classic Bulldogs (5-2) VS #1 Seed Las Vegas Phase 1 Futures (7-0) – MIDGET DIVISION

Where: Western HS

When: 11:45 AM

The Phase 1 Futures will take their #1 seed out for a spin in the first round of the playoffs

as they take on the 8th seeded Bulldogs at Western High School this weekend. The Phase 1

Futures enter the playoffs with a perfect 7-0 record helping them earn that top seed. The

Futures did just that on the strength of their tremendous defense. The Futures gave up just

4 points a game this season on defense, making them one tough team to score on! The

Futures were led by De Von Rice, Jack Cook, Damarjae Gardner, and Mel Spicer. The team

looking to put that first loss on the Futures is the Team Classic Bulldogs. The Bulldogs had

a strong season of their own, averaging over 24 points a game. The Bulldogs will hope to

bark and snarl their way past the Futures strong defense and advance in the playoffs. The

Bulldogs are led by Marell Finks, De’Marion Burton, and Je’Merion Brass. They will hope

that the slipper fits this weekend as want to start a playoff run out of the #8 seed.

#5 Seed Henderson Cowboys (5-2) VS #4 Seed Gators (5-2) – MIDGET DIVISION

Where: Cimarron HS

When: 3:15 PM

The matchup between the #4 and #5 seeds in the Midget Division is a showdown between

two stellar programs and teams with aspirations of far more than just a first round playoff

victory. That being said, you have to win in the first round to have a chance to take home

the title. When the Gators and cowboys played back on October 3rd, these two teams went

to overtime where the Gators survived with an 18-12 victory. The Gators will look to repeat

that result behind the leadership of players like Malik Stinnett, Tyrik Simeus, and Ty Evans

as they hope to start a playoff run. The Gators offense average over 20 points a game, but

the real strength of this Gators squad is its defense. The Gators defense gave up just 8

points a game. The Henderson Cowboys meanwhile will look to ride into Cimarron High

School and flip the script on the Gators and come out with a first round playoff victory. The

Henderson Cowboys offense was strong all season long, averaging over 26 points a game.

The Cowboys will look to the leadership of Gunnar Myro, JP Mialovsky, and Jordan Johnson

as they will polish their stars and prove that they are the sheriffs of the Midget Division.

Considering the history of these two camps and these two teams, expect a great game here

in the first round of the playoffs.

#7 Seed Foothill Falcons (4-3) VS #2 Seed 702 49ers (7-0) – MINOR DIVISION

Where: Foothill HS

When: 8:15 AM

The Foothill Falcons look to pull off the upset and take down the previously undefeated 702

49ers in a first round Minor Division showdown to kick off the morning at Foothill High

School. The Falcons enter the playoffs sitting above .500 on the season, but hungry to soar

into the 2nd round of the playoffs. The Falcons fell in week #1 of the season to the 49ers,

but that was some time ago, so this is a whole new ball game. The Falcons have a strong

defense that limited teams to 16 points a game this season, and will rely on that unit to

slow down the pass heavy 702 49ers. The Falcons will look to the leadership of Gavin

Evenden, Ivan Levy, and Vyron Rosequist-Wallace as they hope to advance with a victory.

The 49ers meanwhile finished out an impressive regular season with a perfect 7-0 record.

The 49ers offense was stellar all season long, as they averaged over 35 points a contest.

They will need to be on top of their game this weekend if they hope to survive the upset bid

of the Falcons. The 49ers will try and rely on the leadership of Dexter “Maverick” Campbell,

Dominick Payne, and Zephaniah Maea as they take on the challenge of the playoffs.

#6 Seed Wrangler Saints (5-2) VS #3 Seed Gators (6-1) – MINOR DIVISION

Where: Cimarron HS

When: 11:45 AM

Another first round matchup that’s a rematch of week #1 of the regular season takes center

stage as the Wrangler Saints battle the Gators at Cimarron High School. Back in week #1,

the Gators defeated the Wrangler Saints by a score of 31-6, but the Wrangler Saints are

ready to flip the script on the Gators and come out with the victory. Isaac Trotter, Marcos

Canales, and Kenneth Thompson lead the Wrangler Saints on both sides of the football as

they will look to march up and down the field this weekend. The Wrangler Saints averaged

an impressive 22 points a game and will look to build on that going forward this weekend.

They have won 4 of their last 5 games and will see if they can keep that momentum. The

Gators meanwhile are rolling along as well this season, riding a nice 3 game winning streak

of their own. While the Gators have a strong offense that averaged over 24 points a game

this season, their defense was especially stellar. The Gators defense chomped down to give

up just 7 points a game to their opponents this season. The Gators will look to the

leadership of Chanze Patterson, Kenneth Fladger, and Richard Isaacs as they hope to start a

playoff run of their own!

#8 Seed Green Valley Knights (3-4) VS #1 Seed Henderson Cowboys (7-0) – MINOR DIVISION

Where: Liberty HS

When: 11:45 AM

The Green Valley Knights will look to charge the football field at Liberty High School this

weekend as they take on the top seeded Henderson Cowboys in a first round playoff battle.

Both teams will look to stay on their horses and advance into the 2nd round with a victory in

this battle. The Knights lanced their spot in the playoffs thanks to a strong offensive unit

that averaged 24 points a game this season. The Knights will look to build on that this

weekend behind the leadership of Katin Houser, Brayden Maack, and Kollin Ngo. The

Knights fell to the Henderson Cowboys back on September 26th, but that was over a month

ago, so expect the Knights to be better prepared for this matchup. The Henderson Cowboys

meanwhile had a stellar season from start to finish, earning the division’s top seed on the

backs of a perfect regular season. The Cowboys were outstanding on both sides of the

football, averaging over 40 points a game while giving up just two touchdowns all season

long! That’s as impressive a regular season as there has been in some time here in the

Minor Division. The Cowboys are led by the likes of Nikolas Salter, Micah Gallegos, and

Zyrus Fiaseu. These two Henderson rivals will face off with their sights set on the Semi-Finals and even higher aspirations as they take the field at Liberty High School.

#5 Seed Mojave Green Machine (5-2) VS #4 Seed Anthem Cougars (5-2) – MINOR DIVISION

Where: Mojave HS

When: 1:30 PM

The Mojave Green Machine and Anthem Cougars face off in what should be a very even

matchup between two strong teams in this 4/5 seed matchup. The Mojave Green Machine

come in as the 5th seed after a strong regular season, but did stumble a little down the

stretch, losing their final 2 games of the regular season. The Green Machine offense

averaged 23 points a game this season, and will need to get back in gear if they want to

slow down the Cougars. The Green Machine has been led by Jovante Barnes, Jerick

Robinson, and Mason Walker as they hope to advance with a first round playoff victory. The

Anthem Cougars meanwhile have certainly found their stride of late, as they are riding a 4

game winning streak here heading into playoff action. The Cougars have been especially

strong on offense averaging over 27 points a game this season. The Anthem Cougars have

been led by Denym Jefferson, Da’Mark Colston, and Zion Branch as they have been clawing

out victory after victory of late. The Cougars will have their hands full however in this

matchup as they travel up North for what should be a tremendous game.

#6 Seed Mojave Green Machine (5-2) VS #3 Seed Gators (6-1) – MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION

Where: Cimarron HS

When: 8:15 AM

The Mojave Green Machine face off with the Gators in a classic NYS playoff battle here in

the first round of the Middle School Division playoffs. The Green Machine travel to Cimarron

High School in a rematch of a game from a few weeks ago that the Gators won convincingly

by a score of 30-12. The Green Machine will look to gas up and turn things around for

themselves here in this matchup. The Green Machine will look to the always strong

leadership of Deshaun Noble, Terrence Henderson, and Jenaro Bustamante as they look to

slow down the defending champion Gators. The Green Machine raced into the playoffs on

the strength of a strong offense that averaged over 27 points a game during the regular

season. The Gators meanwhile will be out to chomp down on a first round victory as they

hope to defend their championship crown. The Gators had a tremendous regular season

and are riding a nice 3 game winning streak as they enter the playoffs. The Gators offense

was just short of being top of the mark during the regular season as they averaged over 24

points a contest this season. Led by the likes of Brandon Thomas, Alexander Castillo,

Michael Lofton, and a cast of other strong players, the Gators were seemingly able to strike

at will. Expect plenty of hard fought play this weekend in this matchup as they battle the

Green Machine for the right to play in the Semi-Finals.

#7 Seed Anthem Cougars (5-2) VS #2 Seed Henderson Cowboys (7-0) – MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION

Where: Liberty HS

When: 8:15 AM

The Anthem Cougars slashed out big wins in the final two weekends of the regular season to

earn a spot in the playoffs and are hungry to try and take down the previously undefeated

Henderson Cowboys here in the first round. These two teams faced off back in the first

weekend of the regular season in a matchup the Cowboys won by a score of 28-6. The

Cougars will look to slash out a victory behind the leadership of Victor Epstein, Vincent

Gelsone, and Austin Decker as they hope to pull out the upset victory. The Cougars offense

averaged over 25 points a game and will need to be on point as they hope to keep paced

with the stellar Henderson Cowboys offense. That Cowboys offense was tops in the Middle

School Division this season, as they have averaged almost 25 points a contest. Led by the

likes of Micah Bowens, Maurice Hampton, and Aaron Johnson, this Cowboys team can really

put points on the scoreboard. The Cowboys will try and keep their perfect regular season

alive as they push toward a playoff run of their own, that must start with a victory this

weekend.

#8 Seed Wrangler Saints (4-3) VS #1 Seed Western Ducks (7-0) – MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION

Where: Western HS

When: 1:30 PM

The Wrangler Saints will be looking to slow down the Western Ducks this season as they are

the one of two remaining undefeated teams here as we enter the playoffs. The Wrangler

Saints secured a playoff spot with a gutty 24-16 victory over the Arbor View Aggies in the

final weekend of the regular season to earn this opportunity. The Wrangler Saints relied on

Anthony Wheaton, Keyon Taylor, and Trequwan Holmes as they will try and clip the Ducks

wings. The Wrangler Saints offense put up over 21 points a game this season, and will

need every ounce of that as they take on the Ducks and their stellar defense. The Ducks

defense gave up just 3 scores all season long, which proved to be best in the Middle School

Division this season. The Ducks had a perfect 7-0 regular season, helping them earn the

top seed in the Middle School Division. A lot of people have been critical of the Ducks as

they dodged a number of playoff teams during their regular season schedule, but this team

is hungry to soar in the playoffs and prove all the doubters wrong! They will look to the

leadership of Brandon Furey and Davon Booth here as they hope to take off with a first

round victory.

#5 Seed 702 49ers (6-1) VS #4 Seed Green Valley Knights (6-1) – MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION

Where: Desert Oasis HS

When: 3:15 PM

In the final Middle School Division playoff game of the day, the 702 49ers and Green Valley

Knights face off in what should be a close and exciting matchup between the 4 and 5 seeds

at Desert Oasis High School. The 49ers enter this game with an outstanding offense. That

unit averaged over 37 points a game during the regular season while they gave up just

fewer than 11 points a contest. The 49ers will look for the likes of Dahlan Mesake, Christian

Ladislao, and Kanyon Stoneking to lead them into the 2nd round of the playoffs with a

victory. The Green Valley Knights meanwhile also sported a 6-1 record, and enter the

playoffs with a 4 game winning streak intact as well. The Knights were led by Skyler Ngo,

Garrett Castro, and Noah Hawthorne this season and they will look to rely on that trio and a
