Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the NYS Nevada program. If you have a question about our program, this is a great place to start. If these FAQs don't answer your question, please send us a message through our Contact Us page and we'll answer as soon as possible.

A. Team codes are given to coaches to pass on to returning players who can use the code to sign up directly for their team. These codes are entered on the "Join A Team" page. If you do not have a code from a coach or are registering for the first time, please "Register as an individual" which will add you to the Free Agent pool to be placed on a team!

A. We form teams based on your zip code, generally. In smaller seasons, like Winter and Summer, teams may be more spread out. If you're in an area that does not have a lot of registrants, we will place you on the closest team in our opinion, factoring in freeway access and other variables

A. NYS has a strict no refund policy. Depending on the situation, however, we can potentially assign account credit for future use. Account credits never expire and are fully transferable.

A. No, NYS does not provide individual equipment to players. Each player is responsible for purchasing the equipment needed to play the sport they registered for. In our Baseball and Flag Football programs we will provide practice gear for the team. Coaches can check-out practice gear at no charge during the season. A Credit Card and valid ID are required to check out equipment.

A. The typical season is an 8 week season. During certain seasons the season length may be reduced, which generally results in a discount. Summer season is a great example of this variable. Outdoor sports in the Summer are generally six weeks seasons, but at a discount.

A. Yes, you will need to put the coach’s name in the coach request box on the registration form. If that coach has volunteered to coach in the season and division you have registered you will be placed on that team.

A. No. In our recreational program, all participants that register will receive playing time regardless of their skill level. In our competitive Tackle Football & Elite programs, playing time is not guaranteed, so we recommend these divisions to players with some experience.

A. Yes. As long as both children are eligible for the same age division all you would have to do is indicate who your child’s friend is on the “Friend Request” line of the registration form and we will make sure to place both children on the same team.

A. The majority of our sports run year around. Baseball, Basketball, Flag football, Soccer, and Girls Volleyball are examples of the sports that we run all 4 seasons. In the Fall and Spring season we also offer Tackle Football (8 man & 11 man) and Cheerleading. You can check our Sports section of our website for more information on the seasons!

A. There are several different ways to register;
• You can register online by clicking Register Now in the bar at the top of this website.
• You can register in person in our office. You can find the office addresses and hours in the Register Now tab.
• Or register at one of our out of office events. You can also find those under the Register Now tab.

A. It is very simple. While registering your child there is a section that asks for volunteers. All you would need to do is select Yes and we would be sure to assign you a team and you will meet them at the scheduled Parent Team Meeting. Coaches are eligible for discounts!

A. We actually have two offices:

- Our Henderson office is located on Eastern Ave and Horizon Ridge Pkwy, 2642 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy #A-12 Henderson, NV 89052, our office is a rear facing office and is located back behind the now-closed Albertsons.
- Our Las Vegas office is located at Desert Inn and Durango Dr, 8515 Edna Ave, Suite 160, Las Vegas, NV 89117, near Durango & Desert Inn.

A. It is okay if you cannot make the meeting. The coach will receive a roster with your contact information. If you do not hear from your coach by the Wednesday or Thursday following the meeting, then contact us in the office and we will be able to get you your team's information.

A. The next step after you register will be the Parent Team Meeting. This is where you meet all the other parents from the team you were assigned to and discuss things such as coaching, practices, where, when, and what times. Parent Team Meeting information is found on your Confirmation or Receipt.

A. Game locations change from season to season and depend greatly on things such as what fields and times are allocated to us as well as how many teams for each sport. You can review the individual divisions in our Online Registration System for more information regarding common locations.

A. Games are typically on Saturdays, although some divisions will occasionally have weeknight games. For Saturdays, games can be anywhere from 8AM - 5PM for Outdoor Sports and 8AM - 8PM for Indoor Sports & Tackles. Any weeknight games will start no earlier than 5:00PM.

A. Registration fee includes: league dues for season, jersey shirt, game fields, game equipment, officials, liability insurance with a medical rider, and league administration. Fees for NFL Flag football and elite basketball include a fully upgraded jersey package as well as a photo package from All Year Sports. Elite volleyball fees will include an All Year Sports photo package. Jerseys are not included in elite volleyball.

A. Registration begins approximately three months prior to the start of the next season. NYS runs all four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall). Approximate dates for Registration opening:
Fall: July 1st
Winter: November 1st
Spring: January 1st
Summer: May 1st
